Alexandra Pechman is a freelance writer based in Los Angeles. She has previously lived in China and Brazil. A contributing writer at W magazine, her writing also appears in/at NYLON, Vogue.com, and Artforum.com, as well as previously at the New York Times, WSJ. Magazine, Poetry Foundation, Tin House, and the Guardian. Before freelancing full-time, she worked as an editor at Aperture Foundation and at Artnews. She graduated from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism with degrees in magazine journalism and in English.
